Melville J DaCosta holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Commerce and Economics from the University of Toronto in Canada a business degree from the University of Maryland and    CPA certificates in California and Maryland. Mr. DaCosta has a great deal of experience in solving the problems which confront growing companies.
    

Melville DaCosta works with a myriad of businesses including  those involved in manufacturing, construction and high-tech. He also performs 401K plan audit services for large financial institutions and is experienced at working with not for profit associations. Melville has extensive experience in setting up computerized business accounting systems and converting manual systems to computer based platforms. His knowledge in dealing with multi-national corporations provides the skills necessary to help growing companies take advantage of NAFTA and Pacific Rim opportunities.

Mr DaCosta's prior work experience includes: Supervising senior accountant for KPMG Peat Marwick Senior accountant with Touche Ross & Co  

Because of his constant commitment to San Diego small business, Mel was recognized by the Small Business Administration as SBA Accountant Advocate of the year in 1996. He   was also awarded the Outstanding Volunteer Business Advisor of the Year for the Small Business Development Center in 1994.
